Team Rebound was established in 2016 in order to reunite and strengthen the unity of the Kerala basketball fraternity from yesteryears with a mission to uplift and rejuvenate the spirit of the game in the youth of today. The annual conclave organised by Team Rebound sees participation from 100s of players from bygone years who rekindle their love for the game. Over the years, Rebound has made a significant impact in the face of basketball in Kerala.
In 2016, when Rebound was established we aimed to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of Basketball and using this milestone as a catapult to spread the love for the game we organised "Hoopathon". This event ensured that 12,500 students were introduced to basketball in 125 venues across Kerala and a total of 1,25,000 points were scored.
In 2017, we created a milestone for Kerala's basketball fraternity by bringing the Ringwood Hawks Women’s team to compete with the Kerala Women's team in a 5 test match series in cities like Trivandrum, Calicut, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kottayam.
Rebound has also actively supported the Khelo India Games Basketball teams for both boys and girls (Under 14 and Under 16) by providing them playing uniforms and supporting them through camps.
During the devastating Kerala Floods we yet again banded together to raise funds for people within the basketball fraternity who had faced the brunt of the floods.
Owing to covid, the Conclave could not be conducted the last two years, however we are back stronger than ever this year.
